Famous Route 66, AZ

On my way to Havasupai Indian Reservation in Grand Canyon, AZ following famous Route 66, we stopped at this extraordinary place. Hackberry General Store is a museum-gift store of old Route 66 located about 25 miles from the Kingman, AZ.  

So let's open the door and take a look inside....

This is the owner of the store, he will meet you with "wild west" smile.

On the couch you will see a dog. It's super star Max, he has been featured in TV commercials for Harley-Davidson motorcycles and United Airlines in the U.S. and in television shows in Holland and Germany.

Here you can buy a magnet with Road 66 signature. There is a big assortment of them  and they are all over the store.

Again, i have noticed an interesting restroom sign. It became a tradition for me to take pictures of strange restroom signs.

On this picture it looks like the girl was holding it for a while....

So was this boy. They probably came in one car. :)

Then we took a look inside. My friend plunged into 80s paradise. There were old Playboy posters everywhere.

The money is real.

Outside you will find a lot of interesting things from the past as well.

The 1957 Red Corvette has become a favorite photo spot for many visitors. If you stop here, be sure to take a picture for your own memory of your Route 66 adventure. The car became a popular touring car for the road trip from Chicago to LA due to the Route 66 television show.

After we took pictures here and got some souvenirs we continued our road trip on Road 66 to Grand Canyon.
